The first two months of 2019 have been busy, but filled with lots of fun things! We ended 2018 with a small gathering at my cousin's house, and while we tried to make it to midnight, my sleep loving self was home and in bed before midnight struck. But it was a fun evening with yummy food and drinks!
The holidays and new year always bring in friends and family from out of town and I got together with my friend Franny one last time before she headed back home to North Carolina. We shared apps and beers at Urban Growler and I can't wait until she visits this summer and we can enjoy those things on the outside patio in the sunshine!
Rosedale Shopping Center continued with a few more weeks of indoor dog walking on Sunday mornings before their last day on February 24th. We took Frankie several times because he enjoys getting out and about. We also had the opportunity to meet a few other new bull terriers here in Minnesota! It was so much fun and Frankie enjoyed meeting the new pups!
Dad and I went out for coffee and breakfast. We went to Bread and Chocolate on Grand Ave. in St. Paul where we hadn't been in awhile. The pastries are so good there and there's a lot of different seating options within the place.
Mom and I went wedding dress shopping and I found my dress at The Wedding Shoppe! I tried on several dresses in different styles and fell in love with the one I ordered. It's so exciting to have that picked out and I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!
It's sometimes hard to get Frankie out in the snow and cold during the winter, so we try and go to as many inside dog-friendly events that we can. In January we went to Doggie Depot at Union Depot in downtown St. Paul for a day of fun! We walked around the different booths and Frankie made a lot of new fur-iends.
We had a nice low-key Valentine's Day with Punch Pizza and Netflix. Frankie sent out a batch of Valentine's Day cards to his friends and I sent out some happy snail mail as well!
February is birthday month for me! My birthday fell on a Saturday this year and we celebrated with my parents and Shawn's parents at Sociable Cider Werks in Minneapolis. We had lots of yummy food and birthday donuts! Frankie even came and was a good boy laying on the floor. I really enjoy the cider at Sociable and there's a lot of seating within the space. The next day I went out for brunch with Shawn's two sisters at Good Earth for a great brunch!
The end of February brought more time with friends as I checked out a new restaurant (Roti Modern Mediterranean) in Minneapolis with my friend Anne and bopped around Uptown with my friend Maren.
January and February were very snowy months for us with lot and lots of snow, ice and record-breaking cold days. When it wasn't freezing cold we took Frankie out to enjoy the big snow banks and the fluffy snow. He had a fun time and thoroughly enjoyed eating the snow.
