This past weekend I had the pleasure of helping throw a lovely baby shower for a dear, sweet lady. They are welcoming their little guy sometime in the next few weeks and are very excited for him! The theme of the baby shower was "I love you to the moon and back" and included themes of rockets, stars and moons. The color scheme was orange, yellow and blues. As one...
Thank you for making 2014 a great year for raindrop paperie! I'm so excited for this next year and to make, design and create even more cards. Thank you to everyone who visited my website, bought a card, sent a card, visited me at a craft show (I did 4 this year!), told someone about raindrop paperie, or "liked" an image. Here's to another year of color, paper, stickers, and...
Today my favorite product/tool is the Fiskars Corner Rounder. This is the perfect tool to create even, rounded corners on every piece of paper. The tool is super each to use and you don't have to squeeze insanely hard to make it work. If the paper is thin, you can even cut a couple corners at once. I've had mine for almost a year now, and it still works...
Today I want to highlight a newer tool I’ve been using, one that was given to me as a gift. It’s the Xyron create-a-sticker tool. With the recent addition of a Silhouette Portrait in my life, it was hard to adhere the small intricate letters and shapes onto my cards without destroying them when using a glue pen or glue stickers. Double sided tape and sticky tabs just didn’t...
Yesterday was the Linden Hills Festival where I had my first outside table for raindrop paperie. The day was absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't have been any more lucky. I want to thank all of those who stopped by my table, all my family and friends who came out to support me and my passion for anything paper! I'm already looking forward to my next shows (for sure one...
Paper is flying, stickers are being stuck and designs are popping out of my crafting area this week! My next craft show is only three weeks away and my mind is full of card designs waiting to be created. Here are a few of the lovely handmade cards you will find at my table in three weeks at the Linden Hills Festival. A little sneak peek for you :) ...
I'm so incredibly excited that it is only four weeks until the 2014 Linden Hills Festival, and that I will be a part of the Art Fair portion of the Festival this year. I've been working on many new card designs, especially since I've gotten my Silhouette Portrait (which I love). I will have everything from birthday cards to thank you cards, wedding cards to new baby cards, and...
Recently I have been very inspired by paper in various colors and pattens in designing and creating cards. There are so many wonderful, vibrant and rich colors in the world, and so many different ways to combine them. I believe we so often get used to the way that colors work together that we become comfortable and routine with color pairings. We associate colors with certain items in society or...
Thank you so much for visiting my shop! raindrop paperie site is now live and it is with much excitement that this new adventure begins. I have always been a creative one and to have my own line of handmade cards and paper goods is literally a dream come true. I hope you enjoy the collections that are currently on the site, but always check back as new collections will...
